Saturday: Beta Librae and Lena Willikens

Beta Librae is an NYC-based selector and producer with releases on 1080p, Lillerne Tape Club, Incienso and Allergy Season. Lena Willikens is a Dekmantel cohort (she assembled the fifth installment of their Selectors series last year), a former resident of Salon des Amateurs and a monthly host on NTS.

In the back yard, Boris Knezevic, aka Facets, is at the controls. Boris is a lover of the dark and unconventional, as evidenced by his label and party series (Samo Records and Samo Nights, respectively). He’s running the vibe from 8pm on.

Resident Advisor Twenty Four/Seven

We’ve teamed up with RA to host another all-night-and-day party. stud1nt, Scott Zacharias, Russell E. L. Butler, Aurora Halal, DJ Sprinkles, DJ Voices, Nadine Régné, Chris Wang, Actress, Hypnotic Spa, The Lot Radio, Papi Juice and others will come by our house over the course of 24+ hours to share their musical dopeness. Grab your tickets and rest up.

Saturday: Seltzer (Precolumbian & BEARCAT) and Leonce

Precolumbian is a DJ, musician and cultural creator whose work focuses on empowerment and decolonization, and BEARCAT is a London-born selector and producer who is part of the Discwoman collective. For this edition of their QTPOC-centered club night, they’ve got Atlanta’s Leonce, aka one of the masterminds behind Morph, along for the ride.

Outside we have Ron Jean-Gilles. Born in Haiti and raised in Queens, Ron brings a lifetime of influences to bear as DJ SoulBrother#4. Park jams, basement parties — you’ll hear echoes of it all when he steps to the decks at 8pm.

Saturday: The Zenker Brothers All Night

The founders of the beloved Ilian Tape imprint, aka brothers Dario and Marco Zenker, have released tunes on Tresor and IMF (and Ilian Tape, of course) and rocked dance floors the world over. They’ll be at the controls from start to finish for this one.

Outdoors, we’ve got DJ Nicely (aka Tanya Lyon). Tanya has regularly served up tunes for us indoors as one third of Working Women, but here she’ll stretch out with a six-hour solo set out back.

Saturday: Umfang and DJ Skurge

Discwoman co-founder Umfang was born in the Bronx, grew up in Kansas and has been living in Brooklyn since 2010. She holds a monthly residency Technofeminism at Bossa Nova Civic Club focusing on emerging talent. DJ Skurge is a Detroit luminary who is part of Underground Resistance (and Galaxy 2 Galaxy, and Interstellar Fugitives, and The Aquanauts, and Model 500…). If you love techno, this is a no brainer.

Outdoors we have Stephen Barnes, aka Posi-Track. Stephen has a decade of selecting under his belt and a resume that includes turns at soirees like Unter and Fourth World. He’s also a resident of Bossa Nova Civic Club, where he throws the monthly Fermented Frequency party. He’ll be at the turntables from 8pm onward.

Saturday: Beta Librae, Claire Morgan and Tristan Arp

Nowadays resident Beta Librae is a Brooklyn-based DJ and producer with releases on 1080p, Lillerne Tape Club, Incienso and Allergy Season. Joining her behind the decks are Australian-born, Berlin-based DJ and composer Claire Morgan and multimedia artist, producer and Human Pitch co-founder Tristan Arp.

Setting the vibe out back, we’ve got Mr. Curtains. Mr. Curtains is a New England-born, Brooklyn-based DJ, producer, and youth culture researcher. He also periodically teams up with one of our indoor residents, Beta Librae, to form Beta Doxae. He’ll be playing tunes out back starting at 8pm.

Saturday: Anthony Parasole All Night

Anthony Parasole’s New York resume runs deep: he was a longtime record buyer at Halcyon, threw the House-N-Home loft parties with The Bunker’s Bryan Kasenic, ran Deconstruct Music alongside Leon Vincent and continues to drop heady tunes, much of them from local artists, on his label, The Corner. He’s back to grace us with another Saturday all-nighter, so go ahead and cancel your Sunday brunch plans.

In the back yard, Elbin Reyes is at the controls. Elbin is an NYC-based selector and producer with a fierce dedication to collecting. You’ll hear it when he’s at the decks.

Saturday: Physical Therapy, DJ Lag and Total Freedom

New Jersey–born selector and producer Physical Therapy is head of the Allergy Season label and one of our treasured residents here at Nowadays. Joining him for this edition of our Saturday night get down is ill selector and Fade to Mind family member Total Freedom and gqom phenom DJ Lag. Strap in.

Providing the al fresco grooves, we’ve got Gabrielle Kwarteng. Gabrielle is a first-generation Ghanaian-American, a native New Yorker and a selector who sources grooves from around the world. Japanese disco, Brazilian funk, French boogie, Ethiopian jazz — it’s anyone’s guess what she’ll drop in this six-hour set under the stars.

Saturday: Blazer Sound System and DBridge

NYC duo and NTS radio hosts Blazer Sound System (aka Zebrablood and Rainstick, aka Nathan Corbin and Tony Lowe) throw down alongside Autonomic and Heart Bridge co-founder, Exit Records honcho and all around drum & bass legend DBridge at our Saturday night jam.

Mystic Sound, aka Dodo, is a veteran reggae selector. If you’ve caught her long-running Mystic Sound show on East Village Radio, you already know. She’s controlling the vibe out back from 8pm on.
