Ayesha

Ayesha is a key player in Brooklyn’s dance music scene, and has become one of NYC’s most prominent names when it comes to faster, more bass-heavy sounds in New York. Her approach to DJing and production blends elements of America’s techno underground with leftfield UK sounds and diasporic influences from her Indian heritage, moving across tempos and rhythms with ease. Her music—hypnotic, pulsating, and powerful—is as at home at a deep forest festival as it is a sweaty basement or dark club, made with meticulous sound design, spongy textures, and alien melodies. She writes tracks with deliberate consideration for how bodies move—and how music moves bodies—which makes her work unusually tactile and physical.
