We are currently recruiting for seasonal positions with our peak season spanning from Memorial Day weekend through Halloween. All positions require availability for major holiday weekends including Halloween, Pride, Memorial Day and Labor Day. Our operating hours are primarily Thursday through Saturday nights with around-the-clock service on Sundays. Availability is additionally required for weekends with any community-adjacent festivals including Movement, Sustain-Release, Dripping and Honcho. Staff who demonstrate speed, reliability, and strong teamwork will be considered for continued work through the winter.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and check them in upon arrival, including explaining our safer space policy and house rules.
- Monitor the dance floor to ensure that our safer space policy is being upheld.
- Interact with guests, providing support and assistance as needed.
- Collaborate with security staff and management to address any safety concerns.
- Participate in regular training on conflict resolution, de-escalation, and first-responder intervention.

Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages quickly and consistently in a high-volume environment
- Maintain full knowledge of cocktail recipes, bar menu, and current promotions
- Provide friendly, efficient service while managing multiple guests and orders at once
- Check IDs and ensure compliance with all NYC and New York State liquor laws
- Handle cash, POS transactions, and maintain accurate tabs throughout the shift
- Keep the bar clean, organized, and fully stocked before, during, and after service
- Monitor guest intoxication levels and communicate with management/security as needed
- Work closely with barbacks and floor staff to maintain smooth service flow
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, and bar supplies; assist with inventory as needed

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain full stock of liquor, beer, wine, ice, glassware, and bar supplies at all times during service
- Anticipate bartender needs and restock proactively to keep service fast and uninterrupted
- Change kegs, refill ice wells, and replenish garnishes quickly and efficiently
- Collect, clean, and restock glassware continuously throughout the shift
- Keep all bar areas clean, organized, and free of clutter during high-volume service
- Assist with bar setup before opening and breakdown/cleaning after close
- Remove trash, break down boxes, and maintain overall cleanliness of storage areas
- Support multiple bartenders at once in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Communicate clearly with bartenders and management to prioritize urgent needs during rushes
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of barbacking or relevant experience in a high-volume bar, nightclub, or restaurant preferred
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong sense of urgency and anticipation—able to spot and address bar needs before being asked
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs (kegs, cases of liquor/beer) and being on your feet for long shifts
- Comfortable working in loud, crowded, late-night environments with tight spaces
- Strong team player with clear communication skills—able to support multiple bartenders at once
- Highly organized and able to maintain a clean, functional workspace during peak service
- Basic knowledge of bar setup, spirits, beer, and common cocktail ingredients preferred
