Friday: Lovefingers and Ron Like Hell

Lovefingers is label boss of ESP Institute. Ron Like Hell is one half of WRECKED and a buyer at Academy Records. Each is in possession of very deep crates. It’s gonna get weird in the best possible way.

In the back yard, we’ve got Eli Libman, aka Don Clark, aka Father Time. Eli runs the fantastic local cassette label Quiet Time. He’ll be at the outdoor controls from 8pm on.

Friday: Justin Carter and Shanti Celeste

Justin Carter is one half of Mister Saturday Night (and Mister Sunday) and a co-founder of Nowadays. For this function, he’s teaming up with Chilean-born, Bristol-based producer and DJ Shanti Celeste. In addition to releasing tunes on Idle Hands, Future Times and Secretsundaze, Shanti is co-boss of the fantastic Peach Discs label.

Meanwhile, in the back yard: Stephan Kimbel is a resident of Bob & Shirley and Believe You Me, and he recently started up the Professional Music imprint. Joining him for the evening is Los Angeles–raised multi-instrumentalist and producer (and fellow Bob & Shirley resident) Fernelly. They’ll run the outdoor vibes from 8pm until late.

Friday: DJ Python, Eamon Harkin and Yu Su

Eamon Harkin is a co-founder of Nowadays and one half of the Mister Saturday Night duo. Nowadays resident selector DJ Python (aka DJ Wey, aka DJ Xanax, aka Luis…) released his debut album on Incienso a couple years back, and Vancouver composer, selector and sound artist Yu Su has dropped cuts on People’s Potential Unlimited, RVNG Intl., Arcane and Wichelroede. They’ll throw down from 10pm until whenever.

Out back, we’ve got Kristen Zwicker. If you come to Mister Sunday, you’ll probably recognize Kristen as one of the friendly faces that greets you at the door. But to go with her kind demeanor, she has a mean ear for music. She’ll be running the vibe outdoors from 8pm until 2am.

Friday: Analog Soul and Galcher Lustwerk

Analog Soul is the duo of Jacky Sommer and DatKat (those who have been in New York a minute will remember their long-running East Village Radio show of the same name). Galcher Lustwerk is a Cleveland-born, New York–based producer with releases on White Material, Tsuba and his own Lustwerk Music.

Outdoors, we’ve got Jansen Scott aka Very J at the decks. When he’s not restocking Dance music at A1 Records, he’s 1/3 of Material Soundsystem and a part of the team behind MOVE, a donation-based party that supports a different charity every month. He’ll be setting the mood from 8pm to 2am.

Friday: Riobamba, DJ Haram and Elosi

Brooklyn-based producer, DJ and cultural activist RIOBAMBA is a member of the Discwoman collective and the founder of APOCALIPSIS. Also on the bill for this function we’ve got Philly-based producer and selector (and fellow Discwoman member) DJ Haram and TRUUU party founder Elosi.

Out back, Mickey Perez is laying down the vibe. Mickey is a Chicago-born, Brooklyn-based selector who pairs New York staples like boogaloo, salsa and disco with indigenous styles of Colombia, Peru, Cape Verde, Nigeria and Ghana. He’s bringing the heat from 8pm to 2am.

Friday: Ciel All Night

Ciel is the person behind Toronto’s Work in Progress parties. She’s also put out some real jams on Peach Discs and Coastal Haze. We’ve got her at the controls from start to finish for this one.

In the back yard, Jan Woo is running the vibe. Jan was heavily involved in the legendary and sadly defunct Body Actualized Centre in Bushwick. He has a crazy record collection and tastes to match, but very, very rarely plays out. He’ll be at the decks from 8pm to 2am.

Friday: Justin Carter, Tasker and Gene Tellem

At this edition of our Friday night jump off, Nowadays and Mister Saturday Night (and Mister Sunday) co-founder Justin Carter joins forces with Whities honcho Tasker and Montreal’s Gene Tellem, whose releases on SOBO and Wolf Music never fail to mesmerize.

Out back we’ve got another Montrealer: Kris Guilty. Kris runs La Rama Records and helms the All Good party alongside Gene. He’ll lay down the vibe outdoors from 8pm to 2am.
