Sound Technician $30/hr – Apply here.
Nowadays is hiring for part-time coverage for a sound technician. This position does not have regular hours or weekly shifts, and will typically be between 1-2 shifts per month, possibly more depending on coverage requirements for our event schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up DJ equipment or live sound needs for events, break down and store equipment as needed during/after events. Test and clean dj equipment before events.
- Run sound checks with artists as needed.
- Oversee and enact equipment changeovers for different artists over the course of an event.
- Maintain standardized volume level to regulation and proper frequency balance during sets, communicate with artists as necessary to facilitate proper levels.
- Resolve any equipment malfunctions in dj gear that may arise during a set, maintain a deep understanding of all dj equipment to be able to answer questions about gear or troubleshoot concerns. Resolve any problems with sound quality or sound system functionality that may arise during an event.
- Record and monitor levels for audio recording throughout event.
- Monitor DJ booth area for problematic situations during event and notify appropriate teams.
- Assist lighting tech, safer space, or management as may be needed during event. Assist management with communications to artists.
- Applicant may be asked occasionally to assist with sound system maintenance off hours on weekdays if available.
Qualifications:
- Must have professional experience running sound for both dj and live sound events. Must have experience operating large sound systems.
- Must have full knowledge of how to set up, operate and troubleshoot/resolve problems with pioneer cdjs and most common standard mixers. Must be confident in quickly addressing concerns.
- Must have extensive experience setting up, operating and troubleshooting turntables in a live dj environment. This is absolutely essential to the job and candidate will need to be able to resolve turntable problems quickly, effectively, and independently.
- Must have live sound mixing experience with analog consoles. Nowadays primarily books djs also books live acts regularly and the candidate will need to be as comfortable mixing mic/instrument sources as they are working with djs.
- Must have experience troubleshooting and resolving common problems with speakers, amplifiers, signal processing, and cables and other audio equipment.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and comfortable moving loads of higher weight via handtrucks or team lifts.
- The ideal candidate will have flexible weekend availability. Shifts may be nighttime, early morning, or daytime depending on coverage needs.
- Training will be provided for venue-specific systems, equipment and processes but candidate must be comfortable stepping into technician role immediately otherwise.

Safer Space Monitor $28/hr – Apply here.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and check them in upon arrival, including explaining our safer space policy and house rules.
- Monitor the dance floor to ensure that our safer space policy is being upheld.
- Interact with guests, providing support and assistance as needed.
- Collaborate with security staff and management to address any safety concerns.
- Participate in regular training on conflict resolution, de-escalation, and first-responder intervention.
- Maintain clear and open communication with team members and management and contribute to a positive working environment.
- Document and report any incidents or safety concerns to management.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a similar role or relevant training in conflict resolution and de-escalation.
- Experience with bystander intervention and harm reduction.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all guests.
- Physical stamina to walk throughout the venue for extended periods.

EMT $30/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Quickly respond to medical emergencies, providing first aid, CPR, and other medical interventions as needed.
- Assess the condition of patients and determine the appropriate course of action.
- Use and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
- Document incidents and medical interventions accurately.
- Collaborate with security and management to ensure a safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with local emergency services when necessary.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times.
Qualifications:
- Current EMT-B certification.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
- At least 2 years experience working as an EMT.
- At least 1 year of experience of hands-on harm reduction work.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of medical equipment and emergency procedures.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
